Parents are exhausted. They are struggling to stay safe and work essential jobs, find safe care for their kids, and maintain normalcy in a time when we no longer know what normal is.
The pandemic has not only amplified these needs, but due to school and daycare closures, mandatory reporters’ access to at-risk children has been extremely limited. As a result, these advocates are unable to detect signs of abuse and neglect, placing many children in dangerous – even life-threatening – situations.
Regrettably, because of COVID-19, we will not be able to gather in person this year. Instead, we have re-imagined The Pumpkin Ball as a campaign that will offer families the crucial support they need during this unprecedented time.
This is not a “virtual” Pumpkin Ball, although there are elements that we are taking online. After all, it wouldn’t be The Pumpkin Ball without a pumpkin carving contest! Follow our social media pages for more information.
Every year The Pumpkin Ball raises more than $250,000 for Vanessa Behan and Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital – funds that are needed more than ever.
Your generosity is the magic that will continue to give kids hope, now and in the future. To make a gift, click here.
Donors at $100 and above will have a quilt given in their name to a child at Vanessa Behan or Sacred Heart Children's Hospital during the month of October. Thank you for helping wrap our kids in love.
